I sit down for a quick focusing session around a current life issue. I bring my issue to mind and sense into my body. Immediately, I feel sensation on the top of my head, in the crown area. I say hello to the sensation and stay present with it, observing it with gentle and compassionate curiosity. After a while, I get the image of a rusty iron thing suspended above my head, rather like an old bear trap. Being old and rusty, I guess it means it’s been there for a long time. I observe it for a while and then I notice that despite the sensations in the top of my head, the trap is not actually touching my head. I get the urge to push it away so I gently raise my hands above my head and slowly push it away. I smile and have a sense of empowerment and feel lighter about my issue.
